  • Quickly diagnose building conditions
  • Verify proper systems operations
  • Conduct home energy auditing
  • Quickly locate areas of cost savings
Infrared imaging is non-intrusive, safe and quick. The special thermal imaging camera can find and document heating and cooling loss, missing insulation, inspect radiant floor pipes and tubing, heating ducts, detect moisture and leaks, and potential wiring hazards and hot spots. Your home or business can be quickly scanned via infrared, identifying problem areas unseen by the naked eye, avoiding further damage and costly repairs. An accurate energy audit will locate heating and cooling losses so repairs and adjustments can be made, reducing your utility bills.
If your energy bills are high, your home could be leaking valuable energy without you even knowing it.
A picture is worth...in this case, lost heating dollars. A thermal image can reveal heat leaking from a house during expensive winter heating months. The average home can waste up to 30% of their energy use due to air leaks alone.

What Infrared Imaging can find:
  • Missing insulation,
  • Areas where insulation has fallen down inside the wall,
  • Air leaks in walls, around doors, windows, electrical outlets and switches,
  • Leaky connections in your heating and cooling system,
  • Faulty electrical outlets and switches,
  • Overloaded breakers or fuses, and
  • Hidden water leaks.
Leaky window seals and inadequate insulation means higher bills, but you can't fix what you can't see. An Infrared Home Energy Audit performed by certified professionals will locate heating and cooling losses with pinpoint accuracy; showing you problem areas unseen by the naked eye, and without dismantling your walls.

What an Infrared Home Energy Audit includes:
An Infrared Home Energy Audit from AAI includes a comprehensive thermographic scan of your home by an experienced, certified Home Inspector with more than 30 years of building experience. The report includes infrared images of problem areas, accompanied by a conventional digital image in a comparison view; so you can easily tell what part of your home is depicted in infrared. Each set of images also includes expert advice on addressing problems found during the audit.

Minimize Your Energy Bills While Helping the Environment.
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality says homes consume almost 1/3 of all electricity sold in Michigan - in recent years more electricity than all industries combined. With energy costs skyrocketing, having an energy efficient home is not only better for the environment, but it can also mean significant savings on your energy bill. A government report from October 2007 says Americans will spend as much as 22% more to heat their homes this year. This translates to a seasonal increase of more than $300.

AAI INSPECTIONS LLC provides the highest quality and most cost effective non-destructive thermal infrared inspections with fast reporting time and customer satisfaction guaranteed. With experience in the infrared inspection field, our technician can help identify problem areas quickly and efficiently.
